How big do those Cicadas get? We don't have them here.

All I can say is I'm glad I don't have sidewalks or street curbs to worry about. People would be severely disappointed at my lack of upkeep :D Gardens I take care of, lawns just get shortened and that is all.

Bogie--Yes, I agree. I didn't have to do all this stuff in Albuquerque! I've been trying, for years, to get your dad to have TenderCare put in short, fine Buffalo grass to drastically lessen the watering and mowing. He thinks it is ugly, so that is that! He doesn't understand (and never did) that Kansas isn't really the place to have cool season grasses - especially if you want them to stay green. It's his fault, it's his fault...lol. Maybe, at some point, he'll let us have Buffalo grass in the back, at least. The front lawn is small enough that it isn't a huge issue with me (although, you are right that it is the front that takes so much edging - walk, drive, curb.)
