Saturn and Jupiter.

As usual, NH (at least my portion), missed out on the celestial happenings.I have been under Heavy overcast for 5 of the past 7 days (in fact, that has been the pattern since at least Halloween). Yesterday and the day before we had partly to mostly sunny days, only to have heavy cloud cover move in between 2 and 3 in the afternoon.

I'm used to that, normal occurrence around here when there is something to see up there.

Stu--Thanks for the catch. I must have been typing in my sleep. How in the world I wrote "Neptune" is beyond me.

Bogie--I'm sorry that you missed on the 21st. I had thought that it might not be worth the effort to drive away from town because we had clouds to the west; but, I wanted to encourage your dad to do a little night driving. As it turned out, the cloud layer was much lower on the horizon than were the planets.

New Hampshire's December averages are 8 days of "sunny" and 8 days of "partly sunny" while Wichita averages 10 and 8, respectively. We have a slight edge on you. (I know that you don't care; but, Albuquerque's numbers are 14 and 7, respectively.)

We are at the same place with respect to toilet renovation! The house we are in now is about 16 years old, and I've contacted a company to come in and do some general maintenance for us. Included in the work is replacing the insides of three toilets, as well as 2 new seats and a handle. Houses require upkeep.. Happy New Year to you and your family!

Good grief, Kitty - from out of the past - welcome back. Thanks for the good wishes and back at you. I inadvertently wiped out all of my contacts a couple of years ago. Believe it or not, we've been in this house for 21 years, now.

Please send me an email, updating me on you and your family, and I shall do the same by return email. I take it that you are still on blogging hiatus or you would have input your URL.
