Lettuce in the bachelor's buttons - that is funny. Maybe it is to detract rabbits :)

I love, love, love the way the quilt turned out and the woman who did the quilting did a great job with the pattern!

Bogie--I didn't consider the distraction factor of the lettuce! Your grandmother always had Touch-Me-Nots in her yard, but this was a first for me.

I agree with you on the quilt and on the quilting. You did a fabulous job of designing the quilt top and Annette did a fabulous job of designing/executing the quilting. (Her photos showed the quilting better than do mine!)

As to the woman whose husband wants her to make the quilt I can only say, "Good luck!" Her chances of finding the right fabrics are between slim and none since they were used, in the quilt that inspired you, before March 2017. Fabrics don't hang about very long - unless they are "dogs", of course, which the Kismet collection certainly were not. Perhaps she can find fabrics from the same designer that will be acceptable to her and her husband. I know that the fabric designer had a later collection that also feature medallions; but, I didn't care for the color palette when I saw it online.
