Herewith are a few more photos from our recent trip to New Hampshire, starting with the horse show on 9/5/2016. I failed to take my camera into the arena, so used HH's phone to take a couple of photos of him and Bogie (one of which was previously posted) and one of the arena before the show began. I didn't want to do anything distracting (to the horses or to me!) during the performance, itself.
On our way from St Louis to Kansas City, Missouri, we were treated to a gorgeous sunset. These photos don't do it justice, of course!
I like these photos a lot. They are not fancy but are refreshingly spontaneous. Nice looking husband and daughter you've got there!

Sur is flat there!

Hattie--Thanks for the kind words. I'm a little prejudiced when it comes to my family's looks - lol! As one who is less than artistic, I belong to the "point-and-shoot" club.
Stu--As you undoubtedly know from all the time you've spent in the States, most of Missouri isn't as flat as most of Kansas which is far from being as flat as all of Florida. I am reminded of how much gradient there is where we live by watching, as we are doing this morning, the speed of the water in the creek. The water isn't up into our yard, this morning; but, having received nearly five inches of rain in the past 18 hours - commencing immediately following the re-seeding of our lawn - it is out of banks.

Cop Car: You darn slender people. I'll bet you just have high metabolisms and don't even have to work at staying thin. Not fair!!!

Hattie - I wish - all salads, oatmeal, bananas, yogurt and chicken for me. No bread/pasta/sweets, soda, alcohol, fruit juices etc. to keep from ballooning up. I splurge on special occasions (such as while CC & HH were here), but normally I eat around 1500-1800 calories a day and still I'm slowly gaining weight (I can no longer wear clothing I wore last year).
My broad shoulders and muscular arms make the rest of me seem more slender than I really am. And the clothing I prefer to wear hides the bulge of my stomach.
And yes, I am at a healthy weight for my height.
Can you tell you hit a nerve? :)

Hattie--As Bogie implies, that would be wishful thinking. Although I was relatively slender during the first 2/3 of my life, about the time I hit Bogie's age, I ballooned. Bogie & Dudette have both followed their dad's example in getting lots of exercise and they've both followed sound nutritional principles - neither of which I have consistently been willing to do during the last 1/3 of my life (laziness on my part!) I've been very proud of the will power HH and our daughters have chosen to exert - especially that each of them has not smoked in years. My father-in-law quit smoking at age 50, partly to set a good example for HH. I know that had I ever started smoking I would never have worked hard enough to quit.
Bogie--You and Dudette really work hard at maintaining a healthy life-style. Kudos!
