Reminds me of the story about building the Al-Can highway during WWII. A lot of the soldiers sent to build the highway were black and one such soldier got lost in the woods and was freezing and hungry so he went to an Indian village for help even though they had been told to stay away from the Indians. The Indian Chief later told people in an interview that the first white person that he ever saw was black.

Ingineer - Good one!
