Introducing the cast of characters who will most often populate the postings in this blog:
Bogie: The younger of CC's and HH's daughters and the originator of blogging within the family (also IT support for this blog)--Graduate of Southern New Hampshire U--understands animals better than anyone else in the family
Chew: Ex husband of Wonderful Granddaughter (2005-2012)--Employed as Tech Support and Graduate of Friend's University (literature/drama) in Wichita KS
Cop Car (CC): Aircraft structures engineer (Physicist gone bad--BA Physics and MS Engineering Mech from Wichita State U) who retired in the spring of 2004--stress/dynamics/loads analyst for structure on many aircraft, from B-52 to Cessna 152. Also worked on missile, radio/radar, flight control, airbase planning, and missile protection systems as a system engineer or program manager--understands "nothing" better than anyone else in the family
Dudette: The elder of CC's and HH's daughters and mother of their only grandchild--Human Resources Administrator--understands people better than anyone else in the family
Elder Brother (EB): Chemical Engineer by training (BS ChEngin--U of Mo School of Mines & Metallurgy), but mechanical engineer by profession--retired from Los Alamos in the fall of 1993--remembers more facts than anyone else in the family
Elegant Friend (EF): Friend who has put up with CC, starting in 1963. Noted for her style and good humor, she is also, some years, CC's exercise partner.
Expert Seamstress (ES): Wife of EB (since 1956). ES has sewn, forever, to the extent that she made shirts and sport jackets for EB to wear to work, beautifully tailored--much better than store-bought--remembers more facts than anyone but EB
Hunky Husband (HH): Husband of Cop Car (married 1958 and 1988), retired in the fall of 1993 from a career in engineering (BS EE--U of Mo School of Mines & Metallurgy) and program management--understands project/program management better than anyone else in the family
Next Generation 1 (NG1): Son of Chew and WonderfulGranddaughter, grandson of WichiDude and Dudette, and great-grandson of Hunky Husband and Cop Car since 2010
Next Generation 2 (NG2): Son of WonderfulGranddaughter and Chew, grandson of Dudette and WichiDude, and great-grandson of Cop Car and Hunky Husband since 2011.
Raechi: Pre-med (not sure what level or kind) college student and WGD's partner (since 2012)
Wonderful Spouse (WS): Husband of Bogie (since 1985)--See BogieBlog for further information.
Wichi Dude (WD): Husband of Dudette (since 1982)--See Wichi Dude for further information.
Wonderful Granddaughter (WGD): Only child of Dudette and WD. Licensed Practical Nurse (KS) since 2008.
Younger Brother (YB): A PhD geophysicist who did 99% of his college work in electrical engineering (U of Mo School of Mines & Metallurgy)--retired in 2005 from the Naval Weapons Center at China Lake CA--ended his life in August 2012--had coped with more tragedy than anyone else in the family since our parents
